Twin stitch chemical sheets are nonwoven reinforcement boards used in footwear insole production. A fiber web is mechanically locked with double-needle stitching and then set with chemical adhesive, giving the sheet a stable structure that holds its dimensions during automated cutting and stitching. The twin-stitch construction is suited to insole components where delamination and dimensional drift can interrupt production.
The sheets are produced by Solamni in Quanzhou, Fujian, China. Production follows ISO 9001:2015 inspection protocols in an SGS-verified facility, with final checks carried out at AQL level. After specifications are confirmed, the standard production lead time is 10–15 days.
The base material is 100% polyester. The nonwoven web uses recycled polyester staple fiber together with 5%–20% polyester filament; additional chemical fibers can be added to adjust color or add function. The binder is a resin/latex chemical adhesive that penetrates the web and is activated during drying.
· Double-needle stitching: 14, 18, and 22 needles are mechanically sutured at equal intervals across the fiber web to form a uniform needle-spacing structure.
· Chemical bonding: resin/lacquer penetrates the web and is activated by drying to form bonds between fibers.
· Dry/wet compatibility: the web can be stitched without drying equipment, removing a separate drying step.
The sheet is supplied at thicknesses of 0.01–0.05 in (approximately 0.25–1.3 mm) and a width of 120 in (approximately 3 m).
