Chameleon hot-melt TPU film is a 100% thermoplastic polyurethane film that exhibits an iridescent, color-shifting appearance under varying lighting and angles. The film is designed as a functional decorative layer for shoe uppers, bag surfaces, stationery items, and sports equipment. Solamni produces the material in roll form at its Quanzhou, Fujian facility.
The hot-melt property means the film can be activated by heat to bond onto substrate materials during shoe manufacturing. For business buyers in footwear and bag production, this enables streamlined assembly: the TPU film laminates onto upper fabric or synthetic leather without separate adhesive layers.

The TPU film retains a soft drape and elastic recovery. In shoe upper applications, this allows the material to conform to the last without cracking during the molding process. The elasticity also contributes to wearer comfort by flexing with foot movement.
The film surface is wear-resistant and waterproof. On shoe uppers, this protects the decorative layer from scuffing during regular use and resists water penetration. For bag surfaces, the same properties support daily load and light rain exposure.
As a hot-melt film, the material activates under heat to form a bonded layer. This eliminates the need for separate adhesive coating in the lamination step, simplifying the production workflow for footwear and bag manufacturers.
Customized colors are available. The standard model series (E5007) covers blue, cyan, purple, red-purple, green, and orange iridescent variants. Roll width is supplied at 1.37 m / 1.4 m (54" / 55") to fit standard shoe upper cutting lines. Thickness ranges from 0.3 to 1.0 mm, allowing buyers to match the film gauge to their product category — thinner films for lightweight footwear, thicker films for structured bag panels.
This iridescent hot-melt TPU film receives dedicated QC-team supervision per production batch. The factory selects high-quality raw materials and employs experienced operators with professional machinery. Random inspections are conducted regularly during production, and a QC team performs double-checks against the buyer-selected AQL level before packaging. Flexible, wear-resistant performance is verified through this process before the material leaves the facility.
The film is specified for shoe uppers, luggage and bag surfaces, stationery coverings, and sports equipment components. Its color-shifting visual effect supports fashion footwear, casual bag lines, and promotional sporting goods where surface differentiation is a purchase driver.
